20 Funk-Bustin’ Songs for Your Bad Day

So you’re having a bad day. We’ve all been there.

People say ‘you can’t help how you feel.’ That’s true: loss will make you feel sad, opposition can make you feel angry, and sometimes it seems like nothing is going right.

But sometimes we choose whether to bury ourselves in our feelings or to push through.

We really have more control over our feelings than we like to admit.

Sometimes when I’m feeling down, or mad, or just … blah, I like to put on some good Christian music. It usually doesn’t take long before I’m singing along and getting into it.

I know I’ve said it before (just a few times), but the cure for insecurity, sadness, anger, or any negative emotion we have really is to focus on Christ.

That’s what Christian music does.

Music is powerful. It can evoke strong emotions in us. Add to that the power of Almighty God and the power of music is Powerful – with a capital P.

I thought it’d be nice to pull together a list of songs that help me when I’m feeling down. If you’re feeling yucky today, I hope this list will help.

  1. Ok I’m trying this again. Thank you for this list, I really needed it today. I’ve never really been into Christian music but I love these. I’m Craig’s wife by the way. Keep up the great work, I enjoy reading it.
