About Me
Hi, I’m Ashley, and I’m so glad you’re here.
For a long time, I didn’t love my name. Not because it wasn’t pretty, but because it felt… common. Ordinary. One in a million in the least special way. Growing up, there were so many Ashleys that I stopped responding unless I recognized the voice calling me. That feeling—of blending in, of being unremarkable—followed me into adulthood in more ways than one.
If you’ve ever felt that way too, you’re in the right place.
Over the last few years, God has been reshaping my understanding of identity—not just in my head but deep in my heart. Luke 12:6–7 tells us that God sees every sparrow. The sparrow is small, plain, and often overlooked, yet God watches over each one. If He cares that much for the least, imagine how much He loves us.
That truth has changed everything for me.
When I feel plain like the sparrow, God calls me His workmanship. When I feel tiny or insignificant, He reminds me that Jesus gave His life so I could belong to Him forever. When I feel unseen or unloved, He promises a future full of wonder in His presence.
I don’t mind my name anymore. When Jesus calls me, I know I’m anything but “one in a million.” If you’ve trusted Jesus as your Savior, He has a name for you too. And if you haven’t yet, His arms are open. You can read more on my page Weary Sparrow.

A Little More About Me
- I’m an avid reader who gravitates toward Christian fiction books that transport me to other worlds and help me notice God’s goodness in ordinary moments.
- Coloring is one of my favorite ways to unwind. There’s something sacred about filling a page with quiet color while my mind settles and my heart listens.
- I love thrifting—the hunt, the surprises, the way forgotten things find new purpose. It reminds me that God delights in redeeming what others overlook.
