Do you have a lot to do this Christmas? Of course, you do. We all do. But we can’t forget the reason for the season. That’s why I’ve made a Christmas bundle set with four items—just what we need to remind us to reflect on the greatest gift.
Don’t you just love this time of year? Hallmark movies. Twinkling lights. Grandma’s dressing. And we can’t forget the presents—the buying and the giving and the receiving.
I love this time of year! But there’s no doubt that we tend to get a little carried away. No other time of year is packed so full of stuff and doing.
There’s so much to do, enjoy, and remember at Christmas that it can be easy to forget the most important thing about Christmas—the reason for the season. The greatest gift mankind has ever received: the birth of our Savior.
The Reason for the Season Christmas Bundle
I love making things I want to remember into art. A lot of things like verses make beautiful reminders of the truths to hide in our hearts. And it may be a little stealthy. I don’t know. Call it what you will, but I’ve found I remember things best when I “hide” little reminders for myself.
There are four items—or should I say reminders?—in this bundle. I’ve listed them below:
Item #1: Desktop Wallpaper
These days most of us work a lot on a computer—whether for work, school, or home use—so this should be a great way to add some truth this season.
Item #2: Phone Wallpaper
Just about all of us have smartphones these days, and how many times a day do we look at them? I’m not really going to count that out for myself, but I’m sure it’s a lot. Wonderful place to sneak in a reminder.
Item #3: Wall Art Decor
I’m really loving the wall art decor thing. What better way to decorate our homes than with scripture? There are actually four prints in this set. Print them out on card stock or some other heavier paper and frame. These are 8×11 inches each, so they should fit a 8×10 frame with just a little trimming.
Item #4: Messiah Prophesied Bible Reading Plan
A couple years ago for Christmas I did a post on the prophesies and fulfillment of Christ. That post is one of my favorites; I just love reading the prophesies of Christ and feeling the wonder. I made the prophesies from that post—and several more—into a Bible reading plan.
As we do ALL THE THINGS that come along with the Christmas season in our modern world this year, I pray we remember to pause and remember the ultimate gift we have.
May our Christmas bundle sneak in those reminders and bless us this Christmas with sweet reminders of our Savior’s birth and everything that means.
